Happy Birthday, Zion!

Dear Zion,

It's been two years since you were born - wow, time flies too fast. I guess by now you're a big little boy already. I always imagine you hopping in the clouds and playing with Mr. Moon. Every night as I pull up into the driveway, I look up to the moon before entering our house. It always reminds me of you, my son. And this is just one of the many things that remind both your mom and myself of you. Among others - rainbows and silver linings.

Every single chance that your mom and I get to pray, we always thank Papa God that you are in heaven with Him. It still pains us to know that you are not with us but at the end of the day we trust in Papa God that his plans for both you and us are perfect.

Your brother is starting to walk now. He's taking his first few steps without anyone holding him. We always tease him that though he's malikot, you are still the pinaka-malikot. =) We will be visiting your tomb with your brother in a few days - it will be his second time to visit. We also tell him all the time that you are his guardian angel.

We terribly miss you, son. We are comforted by the fact that one day we too will get to Heaven and on that day Jesus will be welcoming us and you will be standing next to Him.

I Love you, Zion. I love you very, very much.

Hugs and kisses,

Dad

Ballistic over ice-cream

I'm a big ice-cream fan. And little Timmy while only nine months old has had his meager share of ice-cream (his mommy doesn't want me feeding him tons of sugar). Wifey and I have always wanted an ice-cream maker.

Two months ago we ordered one from Amazon and threw in a Ben & Jerry's recipe book. It arrived today via balikbayan box and I had so much fun unboxing it.

When I opened the box, I saw a can of Altoids and thought to myself "Cool! It comes with Altoids." Little did I know that my mom had stuffed the empty spaces with knick-knacks.

More unboxing photos here. Thank You Lord for our ice-cream maker! French vanilla with peanut buter M&Ms here I come!

Did I mention that Little Timmy had fun unboxing too? Tee hee.

Hello from Happy Dad

Hello there! My wife started a blog some time ago entitlted "Daydreams of a Happy Mom." I figured that I'd start one on the opposite side which will chronicle how it is being a super dad to a super little boy - or shall we say little boys.

With much guidance from our Lord, I pray that I will be able to relate to you guys and gals the life of a Happy Dad.

God bless!
